Have A Holly Jolly Christmas/Birthday/Graduation
Since Daniel and I got married over Christmas break and my oldest sister, Lynne and her husband James had sweet Holly Brooks over Christmas break my family had no time for presents or a Christmas get together. Our "Christmas" took place over this past weekend. We also had time to squeeze in 3 birthdays and Daniel's graduation celebration. Talk about a party weekend! We had so much fun being with everyone. I'm so thankful for a family that loves each other and truly enjoys being together. We are blessed to have two sweet munchkins in our family that grow so much every time I see them. I love those little lambkins! It was also super fun getting to go home with my husband for the first time! Our weekend together was amazing and I can't wait until the next time that we are all together. They truly are cherished moments.
College?....MMM, Carnival!
I love cotton candy, but not as much as my sister, Joellen. She REALLY loves cotton candy. Santa brought her a cotton candy machine for Christmas. We had a blast making the melt in your mouth delicacy. I felt like I was at my elementary school carnival again. Bring on the cake walk and the coke ring toss! I have a feeling that this little machine will make its way into our family get togethers for the rest of our lives. Maybe next time we will serve it up with face paintings.

Love is in the air....
Panini Time!
My sister and Brother-in-law gave us a Panini press for our wedding. We are discovering how much we adore paninis! These consisted of rotisserie chicken, lettuce, red onion, provolone cheese, and tomatoes with sourdough bread. They were incredible. Actually, we have used our press the past two nights. One night for making black forest ham paninis and the other for grilling our hamburgers. If you don't own a panini press, you should! We have had so much fun coming up with concoctions for our sandwiches. Plus, they are super easy and you can make them as healthy as you like!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow....
Today was the first snowfall of 2009. There is something peaceful about looking out the window and watching the little white flakes fall from the sky. Daniel and I had fun watching it fall all day. We even took the opportunity to get out and do a few things around town. Waking to a blanket of snow on the ground always seems to bring back wonderful childhood memories for me. Building snowmen, sledding with my sisters, making snow cream, and especially getting the day off of school. I'm thinking that tonight brings a warm blanket, a good movie, hot cocoa, and a great date night with my sweet husband.
